The new Ducati 1199 Panigale was unveiled at the Dali museum in St. Petersburg March 28. The location was a fitting setting for this Italian work of art. Hundreds of riders and Ducati enthusiasts were there to see the latest creation from Ducati. The party kicked off with everyone enjoying the open bar and waiting for the cover to be lifted off the bike. When the cover was finally lifted, the crowd went crazy when the bike was on full display. The bike looks as small as a 250, with a complete redesign using technology lifted straight from Ducati’s MotoGP bikes. With nearly 200 horsepower and a claimed weight of only 365 lbs (dry) this bike will be a rocket. The model shown was the ‘S’ version with a full Termignoni exhaust, ABS and Ohlins suspension along with some carbon fiber bits. The bike was eventually started and the booming exhaust echoed around the courtyard. Only one thing was missing from the sounds of this machine, the typical dry clutch found on it’s predecessors.

In addition to the world famous Rats Hole Custom Bike Show featuring the best bikes in the nation in 23 different classes. The Rat’s Hole presents our “Cafe Racer Bike Showdown.”  This event will feature 4 top builders competing for your vote to win the coveted “Showdown Champion” title and trophy.  The Winner will be determined by a peoples vote. Everyone who comes through the front door will receive one ballet ticket to vote for the bike that they like the best.
